In the morning of Monday 20 October the Nerazzurri trained in Bergamo for the last time at the Bortolotti Training Centre in Zingonia before leaving for Denmark, heading to Herning where Atalanta, hosted by Midtjylland, will play their 2020-2021 UEFA Champions League opener.

In the early afternoon, the team left from the Orio al Serio airport. As always, Atalanta’s official bus anticipated the arrival of the team.

The match between Midtjylland and Atalanta will be played at the MCH Arena in Herning, with kick-off at 21 CEST and the usual pre-match press conference took place the day before.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini and midfielder Remo Freuler answered the questions of the Italian and the Danish press.

After the press conference, the usual walk about on the pitch before returning to the hotel for dinner and starting the countdown…
