Academy: this weekend’s outcomes (29-30/4)

U17 avanti: 3-1 all'Hellas Verona

Saturday’s Atalanta Primavera’s 1-1 draw away to Sassuolo kicked off the weekend of our Youth Academy.

Today, the Under-17s made it through the first playoff round by beating Hellas Verona 3-1 at the Centro Bortolotti, as captain Bonanomi opened the scoring, Ragnoli Galli doubled the Atalanta lead and Simonetto sealed the qualification by adding another goal in the final minutes. Coach Bellini’s team will now face Bologna in the second playoff round. The match will take place in Zingonia again.

With the U16s and U15s currently on hold, the Under 18 team will compete in Capriate San Gervasio on Monday afternoon in the Città di Capriate tournament.

Whereas on Saturday the Under 14 team beat AlbinoLeffe 5-2 in Zingonia in the first round of the Interregional Phase with a hat-trick from Fugazzola and goals from Faveri and Lung, the Under 13 beat Paris Saint Germain 2-1 at the Manlio Selis World Tournament in Sardinia and punched their ticket to the semifinal, where they will take on Espanyol on Monday.

Moving on to our Women’s teams, the Under 15 squad beat Vicenza 5-1 in Zingonia today in the Interregional Phase thanks to a Crotti brace and goals from Boldrini, Borlini and Evangelista.
