Atalanta BC against bullying and cyber-bullying

The Club attended the meeting held at the Giovanni XXIII congress hall in Bergamo

On the occasion of the International Day against bullying and cyberbullying, the Giovanni XXIII congress hall hosted on Wednesday, February 7 the event titled “L’armonia dello sport: perché solo insieme siamo musica” (“The harmony of sport: only together can we play music”) an appointment reserved to adults working on the nurturing of youngsters.

Arranged by the Ufficio Scolastico Territoriale (Local education office) of Bergamo, the Welfare service of the Bergamo province, the pastoral office of the Bergamo bishopric and the Senior staffing of the Schools named heads of the National networks against bullying and cyberbullying, the event was aimed at raising awareness among parents, teachers, trainers and educators from the local Bergamo territory on such current and important topic.

The concepts of fair play and sport held a prominent role on the grounds of their values as means to raise awareness on, stave off and, foremost, educate the new generations against bullying and cyberbullying.

The event was also attended by Atalanta: namely, the Head of the black-and-blue Youth Academy Roberto Samaden held the lecture “In Atalanta bullismo e cyberbullismo sono in fuori gioco” (Atalanta wave bullying and cyberbullying offside) together with the Academy players Candas Fiogbe, Gaia Caroli, Mattia Tavanti, Mara Brugali.

Here at Atalanta, there’s no room for bullying and cyberbullying because FairPlay and mutual respect are the values we proudly endorse. With their speeches the Nerazzurri youngsters wished to focus on the “Atalanta Buoni Comportamenti” and the “La scuola allo stadio”  projects: now reaching its 21st edition, the initiative will involve 64 institutions and more than 3,000 primary and first and second-grade secondary schools students.
