Basic and psychomotricity exercises, all carried out with effort and leisure in equal measure: in short, such were the keywords of the first training session undergone by Atalanta For Special’s Grassroots side at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia… Football and discipline aside, this session marked an undeniable moment of aggregation, rich in emotions and joyful recreation under the watchful eyes of coach Gianmario Lesmo.

The drill was also attended by the likes of Gian Carlo Finardi, deputy manager of Atalanta’s Youth Sector, Alex Pinardi, the technical lead of Grassroots football for Atalanta BC’s Youth Sides, a few coaches from the Pewee sides and a handful of U23s and Primavera players. As usual, also psychopedagogist Lucia Castelli and chief educator Luca Pala checked in the joined up drill.

The Atalanta For Special Academy group consists of 20 boys and one girl and is assisted by 13 trainers. Following from the Centro Bortolotti’s sidelines, our young athletes’ parents have eagerly cheered on their  efforts.
