Napoli completed their comeback through Mertens at the start of the second half but Atalanta didn’t accept it, first netting an equaliser with Demiral on 66 minutes and then taking the lead through Remo Freuler, who scored the winner in the 71st minute.

Napoli got back in the game again thanks to an unlucky own goal from Gosens but Atalanta killed it off with Romero‘s header.
