Another exciting international test has made it to Atalanta’s schedule for the league break: on the 17th of December, Gasperini’s men will play a friendly match against French side Nice. The match is to be played at 13:00 CET at the Allianz Riviera in Nice.

Bearing the official name of Olympique Gymnaste Club de Nice, the French club based in Nice have won the Ligue 1 four times (the last one in 1959), the Trophee des Champions one time and the Coupe de France three times in their over 100-year-old history. They finished fifth in the league last term and are currently competing in the UEFA Conference League, where they topped Group D and therefore made it to the competition’s round of 16. They have taken part in European competitions five times in the last ten years.

Home to Nice’s matches is the Allianz Riviera, a venue with a capacity of over 35,000 spectators that was inaugurated in 2013.

This season, the team is coached by Swiss coach Lucien Favre; in his career, the manager also coached Borussia Dortmund and was already at the helm of Nice from 2016 to 2018.
