On Monday, the 5th of December, Gian Piero Gasperini was appointed honorary mayor of Grugliasco, his home town, thus donning the tricolour flag for a day.

On the occasion of an event dedicated to fair play and hosted at the “66 Martiri” school in Grugliasco, the Atalanta coach was gifted the commemorative keys to the city.

As part of the initiative, Gian Piero Gasperini pledged to donate a new five-a-side football pitch to the city.
