On matchday 12 of the 2022-2023 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti”, Atalanta’s Primavera, coached by Marco Fioretto, imposed themselves 2-0 over Sassuolo at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
Solid performance from the Nerazzurri who took the lead as early as 8 minutes into the match, after Vorlicky ran down the left and crossed the ball in finding the back of the net once thanks to Loeffen’s deflection. Minutes before half-time, Casolari and Pieragnolo had chances for the visitors, but Pardel was well alert and denied them.
Atalanta’s advantage doubled in the second half thanks to a solo effort by De Nipoti who, after defending the ball with tenacity and brawn, found the space to unleash and slot his right-foot shot in the bottom corner making it 2-0 at the stroke of minute 66. From then on, the scoreboard remained untouched until the final whistle, confirming the end of the last match preceding the long break of the championship, set to resume next January. With this 2-0 victory over Sassuolo, the third team in the standings, the Nerazzurri move into 13th position on 14 points.
