The regular season ends with a draw against Inter and the fifth-place finish: on matchday 30 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM championship at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia, it ends 2-2 with a brace from Italeng. Now, in the 1st Round of the Final Stage, there will be the challenge with Roma, fourth in the standings.
It was a good start from Atalanta, as Italeng curled wide after two minutes and Oliveri, assisted by Ghislandi at the near post, fired off target when Stankovic rushed out. Inter opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Bonfanti, who tapped in set up by Satriano. The visitors got dangerous again on 15 (Dajcar pushed away Wieser’s effort) and on 16 (Casadei’s header was wide) but captain Cortinovis forced a save from Stankovic on 17 with a great shot from the edge of the box. In the 21st minute, Ghislandi slipped between two opponents but his cross-shot was saved by the goalkeeper. So, Inter doubled their lead on 23: Satriano again from the left, this time laid it off for Casadei who curled in. Brambilla’s team did not give up and Oliveri tested Stankovic from distance on 31, then Italeng, assisted with a left-foot cross from Renault, reopened the game in the 36th minute with a header.
In the second half, there was immediately a Ghislandi-Cortinovis combination and the captain hit the side-netting (on 52). A rebound in the 55th minute favoured Bonfanti, who fired over from a good spot. Two minutes later, substitute De Nipoti also had an attempt but his curler was weak. Casadei’s header from a corner was wide on 70, then Renault came really close to equalize in the 82nd minute, as he skimmed the top corner with a great right-foot curler. Italeng, with his back to the goal, came up with a back-heel flick but it was off target. However, the equalizer arrived in the 87th minute: Oliveri played a long ball for Italeng, who bagged a brace. The reaction from Inter was immediate: Lindkvist curled wide in the 89th minute. After six minutes of injury time, it ended 2-2.
