Primavera Atalanta 3-1 Ascoli

Sidibe, Italeng and Vorlicky on the scoresheet

On matchday 14 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship, coach Brambilla’s Atalanta Primavera go back to winning ways and win 3-1 over Ascoli at the Bortolotti Training Centre in Zingonia.

The Nerazzurri had the first chance on 9 when Italeng’s volley was deflected by a defender. From the resulting corner, Vorlicky cut inside from the left but neither Sidibe nor Gyabuaa were able to find the winning deflection. The visitors took the lead on 24 through D’Agostino who burst into the middle of the box and beat Dajcar. The reaction of the Nerazzurri became reality before half-time. On 42 Sidibe (in the stock photo) scored the equaliser by nodding in Vorlicky’s cross from the right, then in the second minute of stoppage time, Italeng gave Atalanta the lead thanks to a fantastic overhead kick after being assisted by Ghislandi.

In the second half, Atalanta scored a third: Vorlicky fired in a clear-cut low finish between the upright and the goalkeeper. It is worth mentioning there was a couple of dangerous finishes kicked by Sidibe and a Gyabuaa shot over the bar. It ended 3-1 and the Nerazzurri now have 21 points. The next match is scheduled for Saturday, which will be away to Inter in Milan.
