On matchday 7 of the 2022-2023 Primavera 1 TIM championship “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti”, coach Fioretto’s Atalanta Primavera overcome Cesena 5-2 at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
The deadlock was broken in the 23rd minute as De Nipoti and Stabile combined well to set up Vorlicky, who found the back of the net. However, Cesena found the equaliser three minutes later with a header from Lo Giudice. After Muhameti’s free-kick went inches wide, De Nipoti restored the lead on 34 minutes from the spot as Atalanta were awarded a penalty for a foul on Stabile. Colombo sent Vorlicky clear on goal on 38 minutes but the forward’s right-foot curler skimmed the post. Finally, Muhameti hit the side netting in the 40th minute.
Coach Fioretto’s players added another goal one minute into the second half, as Vorlicky provided a wonderful assist to Stabile, who also netted a beauty. Vorlicky also scored the fourth goal in the 50th minute, as he converted a penalty given to Atalanta after Palestra was knocked down in the box. In the 70th minute, the visitors pulled one back with a close-range effort by Lilli. Nevertheless, Vavassori set up Vitucci, who skipped past the goalkeeper and made it 5-2 in stoppage time.
