On matchday 22 of the 2021-2022 Primavera 1 TIMVISION “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship, Lecce win 2-1 at the stadium Giardiniero-Via del Mare in Lecce. Giovane’s (in the cover stock photo) effort wasn’t enough.

The first big chance was for the Nerazzurri in the 24th minute, as Zuccon played a long ball for Cisse, who didn’t manage to skip past the on-rushing goalkeeper though. Dajcar denied Carrosso from close range in the 34th minute but the deadlock was broken in the 41st minute through Nizet’s penalty. Hasic doubled the hosts’ lead in the 54th minute and that made things hard for the Nerazzurri. However, Atalanta reacted to it and after two attempts from Oliveri, who were cleared by the defence, Giovane made the most of Oliveri’s free-kick and pulled one back with a header. The Nerazzurri’s pressure started growing, but Samooja parried everything: Del Lungo’s deflection first (68′), then Panada’s left-foot strike from the edge (72′) and Oliveri’s header (76′). And when the goalkeeper didn’t manage to get there, Lemmens (70′) came to the rescue and cleared De Nipoti’s effort off the line. The Atalanta striker also fired inches over in stoppages.
