Before Atalanta-Sampdoria, Alejandro Papu Gomez received the September MVP prize of the 2020-2021 Serie A TIM season. The award was presented by the Nerazzurri president Antonio Percassi.

This is the first prize as the monthly MVP of the new campaign awarded this season by Lega Serie A.

It is yet another award to our captain, who on the day of Atalanta-Cagliari, the first match of the league at the Gewiss Stadium, had instead received the MVP award as the best midfielder of last season.
