The Academy swinging by at Brembo’s

It was a one-of-a-kind stopover, no doubt about it: being guests to an undisputed international benchmark such as Brembo is not an everyday thing. Having been given this opportunity, a handful of players from Atalanta’s Academy accompanied by Head of Youth Academy Roberto Samaden took part in such an enriching and educational outing.

In their factory tour, the Atalanta visiting party also visited some exhibition areas such as the “The Art of Braking” installations; namely,  the brand-new exhibit launched to tell Brembo’s entrepreneurial adventure with the help of their most-iconic products for an immersive and enthralling multimedia experience. Thanks to its innovative storytelling, the new installations have been devised to convey the core pillars that represent Brembo in the hearts of all enthusiasts: heritage, design, style, racing know-how, top-notch products, innovation and sustainability without overlooking the firm’s momentum towards the future and the newer generations. The visit ended at the testing unit, where Brembo engineers tune and test their customers’ cars and motorbikes day in and day out.

“All together here at Brembo’s HQ in Stezzano, within the Kilometro Rosso campus, it is with great pleasure that we have welcomed the Atalanta Academy delegation, accompanied by the Head of Youth System Roberto Samaden himself, whom I thank for having involved us in the Club’s initiative – Cristina Bombassei, Chief CSR Officer at Brembo, eagerly declared-. Their visit is part and parcel of a wider array of educational and formative activities, carried out by Atalanta as on-field learning to teach their youngsters that not only is sport a catalyst for personal and collective development; but that it also stands as bearer of a plethora of cross-category teachings, suitable for a transversal application in different areas, professional field included. Graced by the presence of youngsters born in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, they are at the core of Atalanta’s Academy by representing the future of football, we couldn’t be more honoured and humbled to have them here today at Brembo”.

“In my storytelling of Brembo’s entrepreneurial and value-driven history, I placed the utmost focus on stressing the pivotal role given to all our resources, be them tangible or intangible, such as teamwork, selflessness, passion, continuous learning and personal striving towards ever new challenging goals – as Cristina Bombassei herself wished to enlarge on. These values stand as a common thread that runs through both Atalanta and Brembo’s histories. Thanks to today’s engagement with our young guests, I had the chance to experience first-hand their enthusiasm and their passion for any competition-driven habitat. Perhaps some of them will be crossing Brembo’s very own doors a few years down the line too. It is also our duty to make the business path as appealing and sound as any other sporting career”.

In the words of Roberto Samaden, Head of Atalanta BC’s Youth System

“I wish to thank Cristina Bombassei and Brembo for such a paramount and educational opportunity offered to all our young athletes. While our core activity resides within the premises of sporting grounding, we also bear the duty and the responsibility to ensure their personal unravelling by providing them with as many tools and experiences as possible. As today’s meeting has shown, teamwork is a key component of sports and life in equal parts. As such, it bears repeating the relevance of these get-togethers: knowing the ins and outs of industry benchmarks such as Brembo allows our kids to have a privileged window to the world of adults, while also experiencing what the concepts of commitment and attachment to one’s work truly entails”.
