Italy-Netherlands: eve at Gewiss Stadium

Game tomorrow at 20.45 for the UEFA Nations League

Everything is ready at the Gewiss Stadium to welcome the national football teams of Italy and the Netherlands. Today the two teams gave their press conferences and held their last training session. Tomorrow’s night, will be special as Bergamo will host Italy again after 14 years. Italy-Netherlands, game of the UEFA Nations League League A Group 1 matchday 4, is scheduled for Wednesday 14 October at 20.45 CEST. The choice of Bergamo was made by the FIGC and the whole Azzurra family to show their closeness to our city, strongly affected in the past months by the emergency due to Covid-19. “In the stands – reads the FIGC press release – there will be a delegation of doctors and nurses from the Papa Giovanni XXIII and Humanitas hospitals and the 243 Mayors of the Province among the 1000 spectators, representing the population of a symbolic territory for the price paid in terms of victims during the Covid-19 pandemic”.

Welcoming the two national teams and hosting an event with such a special meaning for our city is a source of pride and honour for the Club.
