In the middle, the break and the transition from one year to another: 2019 ended with a 5-0 win over the Rossoneri, with Gomez, Pašalić, Iličić (brace) and Muriel on the scoresheet, while 2020 started with five more goals, scored by Freuler, Gosens and Gomez and Iličić (with another brace) again.

The Nerazzurri attack is confirmed as the most prolific of the Serie A, with 48 goals scored so far: no one has ever scored that many goals in 18 matchdays since the 1958-59 season.
