The Primavera coach Massimo Brambilla commented on the 1-2 loss against Fiorentina on Matchday 25 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship: “Unfortunately, we gave away the first half because Fiorentina delivered a better performance. We didn’t manage to do what we usually do. They did well and were cynical and they punished us when they created those two scoring opportunities. We entered the second half with a different spirit, with a different attitude and with the right aggression. You could see that the boys didn’t want to lose and we did well. If we had reopened the game a little bit earlier, I’m sure that we would have had a huge opportunity to claim a draw. Having scored at the end of the match instead, we didn’t have any more opportunities”.

“We should set this match aside – continued the Nerazzurri coach – I mean that we have to play another very important match in three days and we’ll have to do our best. Theoretically, we would need some days off to recover. However, it’s the mind that makes the difference in the final games of the league. I’m sure that we’ll fight till the end for our goal to play in the playoffs. Each match is important. Today didn’t go well after a very good period that we had: we will fight against Lazio for other three important points on Sunday”.
