On matchday 25 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM 2020-2021 at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia, Fiorentina win 2-1 and thus interrupt the unbeaten streak of the Nerazzurri after eleven useful results.
Before kick-off, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of Tarcisio Burgnich.
The first attempt of the game came off the Nerazzurri in the 7th minute, as Sidibe’s long-range finish was saved by the goalkeeper. It was a very balanced game without many chances. However, shortly after the 30th minute, Agostinelli burst into the box from the left and fired a right-foot shot into the far top corner. The reaction of the Nerazzurri was immediate: Ghislandi’s free-kick was punched away by the goalkeeper; Ruggeri failed to tap in and Gyabuaa dribbled past a few defenders and his finish was cleared by a defender. Fiorentina doubled their lead on 42 when they won the ball on the final third and Munteanu drilled his left-foot finish into the far corner to make it 0-2.
In the second half, Italeng, who had just come off the bench, curled wide. The Nerazzurri pushed on the gas searching for a goal that could reopen the game, but Ghislandi’s and Cortinovis’ efforts shattered against the Viola defence. In the 39th minute, Sidibe’s right-foot shot from the edge of the box went wide of the top corner, then Cortinovis thumped the post on 43. In stoppage time, a shirt tug on De Nipoti inside the box awarded a penalty to the Nerazzurri, which was converted by Cortinovis to make it 1-2. That was the final result of the game, as Dajcar pulled off a great save when one-on-one against Spalluto at the death.
